Howdy Arizona!

It’s November and we are breaking out our puffy coats and celebrating cooler weather. While we enjoy this break from the heat and look forward to the Holidays let’s all take a moment to remember those who served our great nation. November is the month that we recognize the Veterans of our Armed Forces.

November 11th is Veteran’s Day and this year it falls on a Monday. I think this is a great way to start the week. Mondays were not always my favorite day but I’ve grown to love and appreciate the start of the week. It’s a chance to begin strong and an opportunity to get after it. What better day to recognize those courageous individuals who have chosen to take on the responsibility of protecting our freedoms and serving this great nation.

I am a Navy Veteran myself. I served in the US Navy for four years and worked on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. The USS Constellation was home and the V-2 Department was my family. Aviation Boatswains Mate Equipment (ABE) was our rate. We took pride in our gig and loved holding the title of “Toughest Job In The Navy”!

While I am partial to the Navy and the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. I respect and honor all branches of the US Armed Forces. Every branch plays a vital role in the protection of our freedoms and our way of life. The US remains the shining beacon of hope and freedom for the world to see. Our Armed Forces stand as a testament to those ideals and represent our values around the world.
